Another great way to bring magic into every day is by combining spells and rituals with the days of the week. Each day of the week has colors, crystals, and herbs associated with it as well as a ruling planet.
Here is the information you will need to help you plan your spellwork. We’ve also included a free download for you.
I have listed the days of the week in the traditional Greco-Roman format. There is division on what day comes “first” Sunday or Monday. Our charts represent the Roman Greek Gods however many other cultures such as Norse have Gods representing the days of the week.
Sunday
This day is ruled by the Sun. It is connected with Sun deities such as Helios. Ancient Romans often went out at daybreak to pray to the Sun Gods.
Sunday is a great day to connect with masculine deities.
The colors associated with Sunday are gold and orange and sometimes pink. Crystals include diamonds, amber, and topaz as well as the metal gold. Herbs are St. Johns Wort, Cedar, and Lemon.
Sunday is good for spells that revolve around Protection, healing, power, and money. Sunday is great for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Self-care and self-love spells are great to do on Sunday.
Monday
This day is ruled by the Moon. Read more about Moon Goddesses here. The colors associated with Monday are white, silver, grey, and sometimes pale blue. Crystals include Moonstone, Selenite, and pearl. Herbs to use on this day would be moonwort, jasmine, and sandalwood.
The moon is a symbol of peace and magic. Spells for healing, agriculture, fertility, and clairvoyance work well. The lunar connection is great for expectant mothers to do spell work and for all witches to connect to the feminine.
Tuesday
This day is ruled by Mars however, it was named after the Norse God Tyr. Tyr is the God of Justice and Law and Mars the God of War. In America, we have elections on Tuesdays which relates to the theme of justice.
Tuesday is also about victory and we see that in its correspondences. Tuesday is a good day to lift up pagans in the military.
The colors associated with Tuesday are red, brown, and orange. Gemstones are ruby, rhodonite, and the metal steel. Herbs are basil, ginger, and dragons blood.
Spells for energy, passion, protection, and courage.
Wednesday
This day is ruled by Mercury and Odin and relates to wisdom and magic. Mercury is the Roman god of finances and commerce. Both Mercury and Odin guide souls to the afterlife.
The colors associated with Wednesday are orange, yellow, and grey. Crystals include citrine, mica, and aventurine.
Spells for the day have to do with luck, travel, communication, and knowledge. With these two powerful Gods behind you, Wednesday is also a fabulous day to look for a job, have an interview, or ask for a promotion.

The colors associated with Thursday are royal blue, purple, and green. It is a day of success.
Gemstones of Amethyst, Lepidolite, and the metal Tin. Cinquefoil, cinnamon, and sage are wonderful herbs for this day.
Spells include prosperity, marriage, harvest, and oaths. Thursday is also great for weather spells.
Friday
This day is ruled by Venus and Frigg or Freya goddesses of love and transformation. There is some scholarly debate over Frigg vs. Freya for Friday so you can always honor one or both!
Some say Friday is an “unpredictable” day.
The colors associated with Friday are pink, green, and aqua or light blue. Crystals are jade, rose quartz, and the metal copper.
Spell work for love, friendship, sex, and artistic pursuits. It is a good day to get out in nature.
Saturday
This day is ruled by Saturn. The planet Saturn is named after the Roman god Saturnus. Saturday was traditionally a day to pray for the dead. It is also connected to Hecate.
The colors associated with Saturday are black and maroon. Good crystal choices for this day include obsidian, salt, and pewter. Herbs are mullein, myrrh, poppy, and cypress wood.
This day is great for defensive and protection spells as well as communication. It is also a good day for location spells especially if something or someone is missing.
